This analytical report has surveyed two areas of trade-related policy to assess their potential for reducing the impacts of the implementation of response measures via economic diversification: global value chains and innovation. It also explored the idea of green industrial policy. Ultemately, the report found a number of ways in which trade policy and trade-related policies could further the goal of economic diversification, helping to reduce response measure vulnerability, and in the process helping to implement the goals of the Paris Agreements.
