This activity report provides an overview of country-led efforts on climate change adaptation supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF) partnership with financing from the GEF-managed Least Developed Countries Fund (LDCF), Special Climate Change Fund (SCCF) and Strategic Priority on Adaptation (SPA) funds. It presents the principles underlying the approach of both UNDP and GEF to adaptation programming and the key processes involved in removing barriers to successful adaptation measures. It also highlights the main challenges and achievements of the partnered organisations and provides several lessons learned concerning work on adaptation.
