Education is essential in supporting the implementation of the sustainable development agenda and human development.
Because at UN CC:Learn we work to empower people to carry out long-term impact solutions to climate change, as part of the Partner Network 1 of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Global Action Programme (GAP) on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), we contributed to the recently launched policy brief: “Education for Sustainable Development: Learning to Act, Learning to Achieve”. The brief examines how ESD policies may be advanced to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and ultimately help empower society for sustainability.
