With more than 50 free courses offered on our platform, we strongly recommend teachers begin their journey as climate leaders by taking the five introductory and certified courses below:

  1. Climate Change: From Learning to Action: the fundamentals, for example, the causes and effects of climate change
  2. Children and Climate Change: how climate change can affect children
  3. Sustainable Diet: how sustainable diet can make a positive impact on the environment
  4. Human Health and Climate Change: the impacts of climate change on human health
  5. Open Online Course on Gender and Environment: a comprehensive overview of the linkages between gender and environment

For those who already have an advanced level of knowledge on climate change issues, we recommend the following specialized courses:

  1. Food Waste Prevention: understand how individuals and communities can address food waste
  2. How to Prevent e-Waste?: learn about opportunities and best practices for e-waste recycling
  3. An Introduction to Climate Change and Human Rights: learn how human rights obligations can support climate adaptation

Engaging with schools and universities worldwide

Exchanging ideas exposes teachers and students to different viewpoints and ways of thinking. This diversity can help them approach problems from various perspectives and come up with more creative and effective solutions.

UN CC:Learn developed the Youth Climate Dialogues, a program that fosters online exchange between students (high-school or university level) from all over the world, allowing them to share their experiences and perspectives on climate change and discuss potential solutions. Teachers or professors from any high-school or university are welcome to register their classrooms or student groups to participate in this program.
