The Teachers
Niccolò DELPORTO is a Junior Program Officer in the Youth Leadership & Education Team at the Global Centre on Adaptation (GCA). Before joining the GCA he worked within the Adaptation Division of the UNFCCC Secretariat and was previously involved in youth engagement with multilateralism and the 2030 Agenda via MSOI (United Nations Youth Association of Italy) and the youth wing of SIOI – UNA Italy where he gained experience in youth-led international environmental movements with Earth Advocacy Youth, an impact group of young activists committed to advance the Rights of Nature and other ecocentric legal solutions.
The Class
This class will introduce the topic of climate adaptation and it’s evolution throughout the history of the UNFCCC. It will then explore the role of youth engagement with international adaptation policies including the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA), presenting the work of the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) and it’s Youth Leadership and Education Program.
