This workshop reinforces the discussion on financing low-carbon electricity in Latin America that began during the August 2011 dialogue. It aims to: transfer business-oriented expertise for the financing of sustainable electrification projects; enhance developing and emerging countries’ capacities to attract advanced power technology investment through the development of appropriate policy strategies and actions plans; and strengthen public-private partnerships to create and environment conducive for the deployment of low-carbon electricity technologies.
